Jason Purcell

Jason is CEO and co-founder of FirstCapital, an investment bank which has been successfully providing mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and growth capital advice to high growth technology companies since 1999.

 

With offices in London and Silicon Valley, FirstCapital’s portfolio of clients has rapidly expanded alongside its reputation for delivering smart deals based on exceptional industry knowledge, insightful advice, an extensive network and a tried and tested SMART dealmaking process.

 

Jason has had a career spanning more than 20 years and is an experienced investment banker, with a successful track record of advising on transactions in Europe, US and Asia and delivering exceptional value to clients both buy side and sell side.

 

Jason has led many successful transactions including: sale of Bloomsbury.AI to Meta, fund raising for Valamis from Adelis, sale of ClassForKids to Access, sale of NetDespatch to Royal Mail and sale of FirstAgenda to Visma.

 

Earlier in his career, Jason was based in Hong Kong working as a Director of Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS), and part of the founding team which started up the UBS operations in India and Pakistan in the early 1990s. Before this, he was a number 1 ranked equity analyst with Smith New Court, according to both Extel and Institutional Investor.

 

Jason is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has a BA and MA in Management Studies and Physics from Cambridge University.
